A Performer—and More

Dave Shepherd has been a performing artist for over four decades. He studied acting at the University of North Carolina and subsequently appeared in regional theatre, Off-Broadway, in films, and on network television. Later he earned a PhD in German from Vanderbilt University.

Since the mid 1990s Dave Shepherd has performed magic—the purest form of theatre—professionally in and around Washington, DC, and in the mid-Atlantic region. His close-up illusions have astounded audiences throughout the United States and in Germany. He is known to the community of card magicians as the German-to-English translator of several books on card magic by Roberto Giobbi and Magic Christian. 

Dave is also a pop and jazz musician, on a never-ending search for perfect harmony.
